June 1994 Make a Difference

Are you tired of the suffering our brothers and sisters in Bosnia have endured? You can make a difference right from your own home or office. First, call your senators at both their local offices in Ohio and their offices in Washington every day to vote in favor of lifting the arms embargo. Second, call President Clinton asking • him to lift the embargo. Third, fax letters every day to the president and your senators reminding them of the need to lift the embargo. Fourth and most importantly, ask Allah for victory to Bosnian Muslims so that justice and peace are realized.

Several letters to the senators were distributed and signed by various people in our community. These letters helped but still are not enough. The Senate bill, S.2042, as introduced by Senators Dole and Lieberman did pass in part because of the thousands of letters and phone calls encouraging a passing vote. This is simply not enough.
